How Women and Wine Can Grow Your Business

A 2005 Gallop poll reported that women make up 52% of the US adult population but purchase 55% of the wine. Some wineries in the US have experienced as much as triple growth within one year, simply by targeting the underserved and untapped women's market. But what if you're not in the wine industry..

TIP : Consider coupling your corporate event with a brief wine tasting. Ensure the instructor can describe wine by how this wine fits into her lifestyle, or which wineries' corporate profits supports a worthy charity or cause. Consider profiling wines from wineries owned or operated by women, and leverage how this connects with your participants - for example, if you have an event with women entrepreneurs, highlight the entrepreneurial success of women who own these wineries, so that your audience can connect with the people behind the product.
